Each Executive Search project is usually preceded by a detailed briefing from the Client, including wherever practicable a site visit, particularly with a new Client; and a tour of the manufacturing /engineering facilities. The briefing will cover the Job and Person Specifications, including a review of how the role in questions fits in with the strategy and objectives of the Client organisation. We look to develop an understanding of Client culture and how the person appointed will be encouraged to engage with the aims and objectives of the organisation. It is now well established that “employee engagement” is critical to performance and also how the Employer defines “engagement”.
Upon award and acceptance of the Search project, we prepare detailed documentation including Client company profile and our Job Description and Person Specification, plus a summary of the Salary and Benefits package commensurate with the role. We will also include a detailed explanation of the Search and Assessment processes and strategy; plus the agreed fee structure and terms of business, all of are submitted to the Client for approval and /or amendment.
The next stage is an extensive and confidential search of the Candidate market place, using a number of information sources, including personal recommendations and evidence of significant career achievements. The selection process includes highly structured face to face interviews with all short-listed Candidates.
Candidates selected for the final short-list will normally be expected to complete a Psychometric Assessment process, including a Personality Inventory and Critical Reasoning exercises, in which we also have extensive expertise. We will only use instruments that have been assessed by the British Psychological Society and these are free for all search projects.
Full details of the short-listed Candidates are forwarded to the Client and usually discussed at a short-list presentation. We will then organise initial interviews for the selected Candidates and following a successful offer will undertake informal reference checking.

We also operate a “ No placement – No fee” Contingency Recruitment service whereby our fee is paid only upon the successful placement of the selected Candidate. We resource Candidates through a combination of selective advertising, job boards and research.
All short-listed Candidates are via Skype or face to face and we submit full Candidate details to the Clients including CV’s, Interview notes and details of qualifications and testimonials.
We can also undertake Psychometric Assessments if requested but these will be charged as extra to the Client.

INTERIM MANAGEMENT / CONTRACTOR APPOINTMENT PROCESS
- The process begins with taking a detailed briefing from the Client in order to ensure we develop an in-depth understanding of the requirement.
- Following which we contact individuals on our extensive database with the specialist skills required to successfully deliver targeted outcomes.
- We normally submit 3 - 4 potential Interim Managers/Contractors to the Client.
- Client Interviews are arranged at a location convenient to the Client to ensure confidentiality.
- We work with the Client and the Interim Manager/Contractor to negotiate a rate, satisfactory to both parties.
- We communicate with both parties at regular intervals to ensure mutual satisfaction with progress towards fulfilment of objectives and the performance of the Interim Manager/Contractor
- On completion of the Project/Assignment, we would look to meet with the Client to review the extent to which key outcomes have been delivered.
